Kagurabachi
>So is Chihiro not being an edgelord bent on revenege a better shift for the story?
>Or you guys prefer the "good guys don't die" and "nakama power" power stuff?

The aura farming however remains unchanged. If anything we're getting more and more aura farming.

Idk if its because he's not an edgelord, but I lost interest the more the story became about some war and less about Chihiro hinting people for revenge and I feel like its connected

I think characters that are ONLY about revenge is lame, but then against changing the story to good guys winning with nakama power is also lame.

JJK in that was is more unique in that way cause the good guys lose too and the MC revolves around growth through suffering.

The good guys do lose, as long as they're a highly trained squad of elites

In JJK most of the good guys that died were nothing but plot devices and the MC had plot conveniences to help him all the time. Read more manga before call something unique.

I hope Shiba is revealed to be the traitor.

That's wrong. You can't see the story for what it is because you're seething too hard.

None of the major arc characters die.
It turns out they all lived.

Maybe some no name sqauds who's names we don't know or got like 2 scenes or what not.

The old guys Shiba and azami
Hinao and Char from the cloud sword arc
hakuri and hiyuki from the sazanami arc
the masumi ninjas
iroi and old man samura
heck even useless no powers ikura lived

Shiba being traitor would be a bit too easy to guess and a bit too generic. Though it would explain how they found the dad and samura.

I think it's Azami since he's one of the kamuami leaders.

I think being azami would be more generic, Shiba being the traitor at least would add more weight to Chihiros character and it would be more impactful to the reader.

what has challenged Chihiro the most? the responsibility of wielding superweapons? the rivalry between him and pink hair psycho is funny but I feel like Chihiro has alraedy eclipsed him. Sunglasses sensei has also folded in an almost talk-no-jutsu way, but I like that Chihiro had to admit that he has to go all out every time and that he barely knows what he'd doing against the real sword bearers. I hope Shiba is a traitor in a medium way, not outright evil but maybe he fucked up something major and got Rokuhi the dad killed. I hope the other sword bearers are cool
I see the plot heading towards a mid point major conflict with the sword saint, perhaps a cringevengers reassemble type fight with new sword bearers wielding the blades against Sword Saint. They lose, time skip after? 500 ch manga right there

love the art though, I realize now that the mangaka Hokazono reused the "from the sword holders first-person POV" in the sword saint mini cutscene, it's a great angle to draw hope he keeps doing it
he has these "themes" in the set pieces, very cinematic, and the patterns show up in later arcs. Very excited to see how he plays with it, unlike Demon Slayer so much of KGB is an appreciation of sword movement/swordplay and "duels" in a samurai/western style
it's worth a read KGB is bare minimum 7/10 shounen if you haven't gotten on and lurked this thread consider chipping away, there is enough material now to appreciate it

I thought I would like this manga but it feels so derivative of other manga I already read I ended up dropping it. Art is nice though.
