I don't think it's a new series like you thought. The manga was on a period of hiatus for a bit (mangaka was hospitalized or something), so that page probably just meant it was back from hiatus.

Me too. We really need more combat anime that is centered around females (and more specifically, lesbian females). With shows like Baki and Kengan Ashura becoming a hit with western audiences despite being filled with males, you'd think that anime execs would be rushing in to make a yuri-equivalent to rake in the big bucks.
