Are there any series that you don't necessarily hate but can't for the love of god understand why people rave about them so much to the point of calling them masterpiece or top manga?

I'm on ep 7 and just started watching it this week. Dandadan is a masterpiece in terms of how well the anime adaption is. I can't recall the last time I saw an anime adaption with this quality. They turned a basic bitch manga into an enjoyable show.

Mushoku Tensei for me. I keep hearing about how it's not like other isekai but it seriously is. It's the same old, not that it's bad. It's just not special.

The Frieren anime works miracles to bring out impactfully all the subtext and undertones of the manga. I could see an adaptation of the manga being very thin & flimsy, but they treated it with the reverence due to a classical work of literature. If the west treated its actual classics this well in the tv & film formats we'd be spoiled rotten.
