Most of the upper moons strenght is a combination of actual deadly skills and dps + personal gimmick that makes them harder to kill than simply beheading them.
Is true that Gyutarou would bodie most of the current pillars ( are at least follow them to their grave), but this is mostly because of his deadly poison + disengage fighting style.
Hantengu is strong but too dependent of his survival gimmick, to the very moment the actual found his whole gimmick fall down like a tower made if cards.
Akaza would’ve lost to marked himejima considering he is stronger than end game tanjiro and most likely was going to reach the “plant mode” himself considering he is also blind and very spiritually connected… plus his fighting style not being an actual sword style, so less likely to be countered by akaza’s compass.
Douma is the equivalent of a high level sorcerer in D&D: absolute powers and dps potential that can destroy everything, but kinda frail compared to the others stats whise. His ice power was also a huge plus since it could incapacitate the slayers both slowing them down and freezing their breaths, and the freezing was also very effective on demon’s cells too. For this reason he was ranked so high despite not being bery strong phisically. Which is why he was bodied once hyper poisoned and ganked.
Only Gyokko was the actual shitter of the group that deserve to be considered a jobber. The rest were pretty consistent and far better explored than your average Shonen’s evil organization.
