I understand Fern calling Frieren, Heiter and Serie "sama". Stark is already a bit iffy. But Übel as well? Does she just call everyone sama and the only one who is put off by it is Stark?

Yeah it's a bit weird with Ubel especially, Fern is just extremely formal but Ubel isn't really above her and I don't think many people would consider her worthy of such an honorific. But I remember reading somebody suggest that it was another way to show that Fern emotionally distances herself from people.

Everyone in his series acts like an autistic weirdo. Is the author autistic? I'm being complete serious when I ask that. The elf is autistic, Fern is autistic, Stark is borderline autistic, Ubel is autistic, etc.

Heiter and Himmel were pretty laid back and personabe. Aura was a steriotypical haughty oujo. I also find it hard to see characters in leadership roles such as Sense, Lugner, most nobles, Denken, Wirbel or even Frieren as autistic. Frieren and Serie's intuition always being right betrays either some mind reading spell or a very in depth understanding of the emotions of others.
