I shit you not, they turned this ONE SINGULAR page into almost 5 minutes in today's episode. Kuma is falling for 5 minutes and no one even considers that he LITERALLY has the teleportation ability which he used to get to Bonny. This works in the manga where everything happens in the moment, but it's insultingly bad here. To fill time they just make characters stare at stuff longer than ever before, repeat scenes more often than ever before or do completely idiotic things like Bonny's tears falling upwards against Kuma's hat with a weird amount of focus on it as if it's somehow an archetypical motif or something and doesn't just look random

In the last episodes we literally got a flashback for the Kuma flashback that just finally wrapped up. They somehow even ruined the chapter where Kuma punches Saturn with shitty padding: It's supposed to be about humanity and Kuma acting human one last time even though he is a robot, but in the anime he shoots lasers from his mouth like a generic robot

They can't even be arsed to come up with OC filler jokes or let alone to fit more than one chapter into an episode but instead just drag everything out in the most mind-numbing way possible. The break did fucking nothing. They even still censor middle fingers despite moving to a later timeslot

Also the background music is just wrong and sucks most of the time. One Piece used to have iconic music, now it's just random noise

I wouldn't call the anime exactly awful. Still it's annoying as hell, with it shoving to our face the same flashbacks again and again and again and again even for events that just happened 1-2 episodes ago! Seriously, if this wasn't for that crap the anime would be half of the episodes it is now. Which is why despite being a fan I don't blame anyone who refuse watching One Piece for being too fucking long.

Same shit never change with Toei since they have a long history for dragging popular shonen like Hokuto no Ken and Dragon Ball Z for much longer than the manga. With HnK they did it with fillers. With DBZ they did with both fillers and awfully slow pace. And now with One Piece they do it with the flashback shit.

If it wasn't for the great visuals, animation , voice acting, soundtrack etc I would gladly drop the anime and start reading the manga instead.

Sad, isn't it? Toei got One Piece a bigger budget, invited competent directors and animators, and somehow that was enough for people to ignore how it's the same series with the same problems that it had starting from Ennies Lobby adaptation. One chapter is just way too short for an episode to adapt.
