Is it the test taker's job to calculate the exact force to defeat an inviolable barrier but nothing else? Remember it's not just a matter of he used X mana so if my attack magic is X mana too it will cancel out. And the examiner can simply move if they believe their life is in mortal peril. It will basically crush his spirit and make his useless for a while as he loses his "imagination" that his barrier is inviolable but is that better than being dead?
