Why were the two of them so fucking obsessed with Sasuke? They were together for like a year, not counting the months of training they did alone.
At least Sakura was in love with Sasuke since she was a toddler but even that obsession didn't make sense, considering they barely talked. Even when they were team Kakashi, Sasuke only cared about Naruto.
And it's not that they have some special ninja code detached from our morals, every good character acts like our real world (leaving aside the normalization of child soldiers).

Sakura could and should have healed Kakashi's loneliness.
