death note's strongest points are entirely related to its plot.

Death Note is one of the most shoddily written mystery/detective series out there, the prime example of a writer believing themselves to be way smarter than they actually are, its popularity entirely carried by Obata's unique style and the nostalgia resulting from the aging millennial weeb's incapability to let go of their youth. Slop designed for hot topic and myspace then, slop designed for surface level regurgitation and memefication on tiktok and pinterest mood boards now. Put it in the trash.
