Why is UBW largely considered the best overall Fate/stay night route?

Shirou vs Archer and Shirou vs Gil are the most memorable fights in the Fate franchise. You could argue that Shirou vs Berserker is up there too but the HF movies butchered this fight and Sparks Liner High will never be adapted. Don't get me started on the Fate route. Saber is the face of this franchise but I can't even remember one single fight from her route

I like HF more but I can understand why UBW is considered the pinnacle, the two seasons with a Ufotable budget helped a lot out more.

But when is the next chapter for 3rei gonna come out? I want to see more of Miyuverse Shirou.

It butchered Shirou vs Kotomine too. Basically anything that wasn't waifu shit. The amazing production quality couldn't make up for the dumbass directing decisions.

It's the most chuuni and shounen-esque, and also the most positive. Shirou is arguably the strongest version of himself and more characters are alive at the end of it, so spin-offs like case files follow its canon more closely than the others. It has great peaks, but I prefer the other routes.

Fate was the introductory route and had a very unsatisfactory ending and HF is the cuckold route where Shirou disregards all of his ideals for an evil whore.

The ending is open-ended but with the implication that Shirou will pursue his dream of dying in the middle east. HF ends with him committing to a a happy normie home life and Fate through that added epilogue he meets his waifu in heaven. UBW might seem superficially more light than HF but its arguably the most realistic and darkest route.
