I miss Musashi

I don't. His arc ended and there not much left for him.

Looking back it was fun, i cried the same as other anons during the police fuckery but at least it was pretty engaging, have barely kept up since the Sumos and now with Jack's boring ass jobbing escapades.

I think the issue is that in Baki reading weekly sucks, so when you read a couple chapters of a fight and the weird scenes like Sukune doing his hair for a chapter it's flows naturally.
With Musashidou though it's literally 18 volumes of that issue, horrible weekly pacing but awesome in a straight binge. I read Musashidou in 3 days back when 2018 was fresh and I loved it.

I wish he and the Ogre could have had a fight without interruptions, but after Motobe's cockblock they both got it out of their system and were buddies instead.
Also wish Baki could've beaten him a bit more decisively. Granny sucking out Musashi's soul is acceptable as an ending, but from what I remember he and Baki barely had a real fight.

It's definitely Itagaki's history and knowledge in martial arts that really helps add to all of his work. Just from seeing Musashi take a horse stance as he swings so it adds more force and speed to the strike gives a more realism to the attack.
Sometimes I cant describe it either when I see the force put into the pages he makes

I love this swing but i dont get how his sheathe-grabbing hand can catch up to the sword and grab the hilt if this swing is supposed to be a fluid unsheathe-swing motion. Shouldn't be possible for that hand to be faster than the sword.

When Baki was "fighting" Musashi there is a chapter that is just a recap of the previous chapter.

I dont hate baki, quite the opposite i am sad i didnt read it back in the day (started this year and i am now up to date) after reading everything in 1 go, i can say the pacing feels better but i noticed the author relies too much on certain cliches to avoid drawing action to the point it feels like a parody of itself

From part 2 foward it got worse, part 1 still had the best story and pacing, part 3 was the ending of the story and the newer arcs just feels like DLC.
Baki is far from perfect but waaaaaay more fun than any manga/anime in the last few years, i am sad i didnt get to read it with all of you /here/ but i am happy i waited for so long because shonen is really fucking dead and hajime no ippo went to shit both in art and story and the less we say about kengan the better.
I need it a manga like this, i apreciate the talent/effort/content but i am still going to make fun of the silly stuff.
