After that, Tobi does the retarded move of declaring war on the world instead of kidnapping his targets but that's the only real writing issue with the arc. Everything else makes sense, and it's far from as bad as what you get in regular Naruto chapters as we saw in this daily.

At no point do they turn into Marvel superheroes. I think it would be interesting if Karin and Kin were combined into the same character. It makes Sasuke saving her during the chuunin exams fit better into the timeline without being weirdly forced. It also makes her admiration for him have more weight since her first impression of Sasuke is him saving her life even though they were just enemies a short while ago. It also adds some more dimension to both characters’ interactions with Sakura, such as Kin’s words to her in the forest of death and Sakura healing Karin during 5KS. This also increases the screentime of the combined character, which gives her more chances to get characterization and show off her abilities.
