Over the years, the main point of a new OPM chapter release for me is when there's a female character on the cover. The rest I simply ignore since it'll get redrawn in a few months anyway. At this point, I think it wold be more cost efficient, if Murata did some kind of patreon page and drew porn of the OPM characters and skipped the whole serialization process.

Well that was actually alright for once, so far seems to still be following the webcomic for the most part for this arc.
Of course, this says nothing about the potential endless redraws that might follow, the botching of payoffs prompting more redraws or the nauseating inclusion of Blast at every available oppurtunity. But at least I'm not cringing myself to death while reading this chapter.

Eh I kinda like it. murata opted to make amais eyes completely white to signify his lack of humanity. In the webcomic, his eyes are somewhat hollow so it feels like there might be some humanity left. Following the webcomic closely is critical but at this point so many characters are involved in the amai character arc that it's weird to ignore them

By the point in time when this WC chapter was released, ONE’s art had improved drastically with its own unique style, while on the other hand Murata’s art has declined without the assistants doing all the extensive background and special effects stuff like they did in the beginning of the manga. The reason it feels so boring is because at this point, it’s just not really an improvement. You’d think that’d be an argument to let the manga change the story around, but as we saw in the ninja arc, the story changes tend to be shit, and Murata can’t stick to his guns without redrawing at least three times

The arc that should have been left as an accurate adaptation is the Garou one
