JUSTICE FOR BURG!

Burg was an retard who was killed by his own hubris
Anonymous No.281448315 >>281448638 >>281454593
Did Burg just have no friends at all? No one seems to care that Ubel killed him. Also if Ubel knew she could cut through anything made of cloth that means she just straight up murdered that guy.

Then it was a really shitty exam.

i agree, now let's get that to the point of the thread which is reminding people why ubel needs to be put in jail

That was entirely his fault. That's like going to a random shooting range with your fancy new high tech bullet proof vest and asking everyone there to shoot you in the chest with whatever gun they brought and expecting it to go well. He obviously should have properly ascertained what every mage was capable of and what kind of magic they used before asking them to attack him. Also, he probably signed a waiver.

The way Ubel used the spell and moved, if she got past at all it'd be guaranteed to slice through him entirely. She absolutely intended to commit murder, and Serie being a corrupt asshole is why Ubel wasn't killed. Serie and her organization know magic but suck as people.

Not sure why you replied to me. Sure, if you tell someone to shoot you under the belief that the gunshot will not wound you and they actually do it, they DO have some culpability in the exchange - but you're still a monumental retard for asking them to do such a thing in the first place, no matter how much you believe in your safety. You can't live in a fantasy world where Berg does not share a large portion of the responsibility for that interaction when he quite literally instructs her to attack him (without even understanding her magic, at that).

>tell someone to attack you
>they attack you
>you die
It was entirely his fault for designing the exam that way.

Serie and co. don't design very good tests, but Ubel was the one who decided to move in such a way that she'd cut all the way through the guy if the spell worked. It wasn't an attempt to just cut the robe in general or do a surface level cut to his body based on how she aimed.

>gets promoted to 1st class without doing anything
>gets her own plot line in the current manga arc
>multiple new outfits
>her own nerdy chad to flirt with

The narrative is telling me she did nothing wrong

By attacking him, yes.
>>281450873
A surface cut wouldn't have made him step back, so it'd be useless. Maybe she should have cut a leg off at the shin or something?

The goal of the first-class mage certification is to find mages raised in the decadent peacetime who could stand next to the war heroes of yesteryear, and it wouldn't be doing its job if it didn't manage to fail the entire class if nobody who applied that year meets the standard

What are the bets how the current arc will turn out? I kinda think that Denken and Frรคse got all the nutcases to the capital to get rid of the shadow warriors without causing a civil war.
รœbel will probably slice up the two cheap whores attacking her and Land will sit in his cuckshed at home sipping tea.
No idea what Serie is gonna do, but she'll probably survive, dance with the Emperor and gift him a random useless spell.

The only person who suffered injustice here was Ubel due to not having been promoted in that exam thanks to how retarded Burg designed it. He did it more to show off than to estimate the candidates.
