What do you mean when you say "typical", but there's no other instance of a shounen hero deuteragonist actually becoming a villain and his own story being treated equally to the main character's. Sasuke is independent enough that he doesn't rely on the MC for relevance, leading his own arcs. And he is important from start to end, actually defeats main villains, and is a multifaceted and well developed character.

Seto Kaiba seems to be a Vegeta-like, i.e. villain turned hero. That's not what Sasuke is. I haven't found any other characters that meet the criteria I defined. Sasuke is genuinely unique, whether that upsets you or not.
