- the towns are all different
- alot of the land outside towns are farmland
- Frieren's treasure chests are not 'everywhere' but in dungeons
- Frieren's party is 2 males and two females, her original party 3 males and one female. So not harem style of mostly females.
- not a renaissance setting, there are cameras, bunny girls and modern clothing
- the Mc isn't the strongest character
- the magic system isn't gamified

No, in case you cannot find it, it's a clickbait article quoting three different people to push a weird narrative. Saitou's quote in context was talking about how current anime are much more focused on adapting popular source material faithfully leaving little space for creativity to experiment with changes and originals, mainly because these are the things the suits want to push.

Magic license ranks are explicitly arbitrary as fuck and exist mainly as a bureaucratic conceit. When we meet a ton of magic users whose powers all work differently, they're all just considered "mages", and most of them can use their magic to the same end because of how non-rigid and non-classified magic is. The magic system itself contains far too many spells of differing nature and usage to qualify as gamified, as well.
