Lately, I've been wondering if 3D printing could somehow be combined with AI tools to make the creation of tens of thousands of traditional cels easier? That way, you could have human hands step in to inject their own work, as-needed, and and fully manage the animation process. Basically, "power" the creation of new anime with A.I., as opposed to wholly using it to ""create anime.""
I hate CGI and A.I.-generated movement so fucking much... and, I think most people do. But on the other hand, modern anime ""artwork"" is so shitty compared to the high detail style of older shows, because it has become infinitely commercialized. It is totally devoid of soul. We need to reach a solution, or else I think people might stop paying for anime altogether.
