Anyways, the anime industry began its decline over 40 years ago. In the 80s. When anime started being produced to cater to otaku, which led to works like WMT being declared unprofitable compared to monolith franchises/brands that thrive on otaku or low quality works focused on self-insertion and attractive women surrounding the main character, the issues still within anime today.

In the case of tourist, yeah, I've never seen anyone with a lot of experience actively use it. It's usually a term of projection designed to make oneself seem more invested in a given community than they truly are, as those invested in said community typically aren't looking at the most surface of surface level shit (among other factors) and are instead actually, you know, watching and talking about the topic in question.
That's why ultimately, any engagement with you will go nowhere. I imagine any response to what I have written will just amount to "You're a tourist lol" and you'll never express anything beyond that, because doing so would out your own lacking merit as some member of an "anime community" or whatever it is you're trying to defend from 'tourists'.
