He had his propably weakest moment, but our boy is back in the game. Very good to see. While "dork until determined" has been a bit of a trope by now, I think Chihiro does it very well and a bit more naturally then more recent examples.

I give it to him, we hardly saw him cry or break and usually had some trollish remark to make. Chihiro is a cool protagonist
