My theory is that it was her fault that her eye was destroyed. Maybe when Kurumi was trying out her magic, Spica did something just to mess with her but it backfire and her eye got destroyed as the results. It would be something that only she knows but thank to that she got to toy with Kurumi with no resistance.

I assume it is still fucked up, but Kumugis true talent lies in medical magic, so the setup is that once she learns to be more confident she will try to repair hair sisters eye. But fails and her entire face gets disfigured
