Pandora could easily lie about it, and she would know about vainglory existing from Clind
besides, all of the effects of vainglory can be replicated using Petra's melancholy
Pandora sending Regulus home when he doesn't want to leave? Petra can convince him to leave and teleport him(and cut out the time it takes to convince him using her authority)
Illusions and seemingly changing reality? Petra has light magic, which can be used to cause illusions. she can cut out the training time using her authority too, but she doesn't even need to since we don't know how long Petra has been Pandora when she appears and could have had plenty of time to train
I think I remember someone saying that she turns into a bird in a side story? Petra can do what she did with time travel and cut out the research time in creating a way to transform
and this is all assuming that she DOESN'T have vainglory
if Petra is Pandora, then vainglory is out there somewhere and Petra could easily end up with it somehow
