Genuine question. What do you want from an ecchi? Because this show to me was neither sex or funny. Ecchi by default will usually have a pretty boring plotline, but I do like action ecchi more than SoL for sure.

It’s not an ecchi show per se, dirty jokes are just the theme for a romcom. It’s supposed to be funny more so than exciting and it’s great at that. Anna spitting out his zipper at the end of that scene is one of the most perfect gags I’ve ever seen. The design of the secret cave. The villain is a pantsu Shishio who drinks underwine. Really great storyline for a one season wonder, endearing characters.

As someone who likes Shimoneta quite a bit, you're selling ecchi very short, there are plenty of enjoyable ones out there, especially depending on how far you're willing to stretch that genre/tag.
