Most isekaijin regain their memories as a toddler or young child rather than as a straight-up baby tbf. If anything, the worst part of being an adult in a baby's body is the inevitable cycle of shame where no matter what you do, you burden your poor mother for a solid 3 years, if not more. It'd fuck you up pretty bad knowing you have no choice because anything you could possibly do to try to help would only make things worse imo.

The ones where they slowly regain their memories over time and then fully when they reach teenage-hood are the best. Otherwise, idk maybe their brain folds extremely painfully right before birth. What would really suck is rebirthing as your brain is developing in the womb and having to sit inside your mom for a few weeks doing nothing. That would be especially panic inducing after dying because you'd probably think you were in hell trapped in darkness for eternity.

Chances are that you would sleep through most of your newborn baby period anyway, since a baby needs to sleep often. So the first year might be manageable thanks to you being too confused about your situation as being reborn in another world, then trying to find out who your new life parents are and if you have weird gimmicks like status screens, magic, cute familiar pets or busty dark elf maids, and then being too tired to really think too much, sleeping a lot.
Then, when you become a toddler after a year, you can at least move and start exploring your surrounding.
It would suck if you were completely conscious while in the womb, though.

The most plausibelest explanation is that the isekaid mc's ugly neet soul is "operating" the body.
So the brain is a toddlers brain who handles things like sending signals for heart to keep pumping and sucking nipples, and the neet fuck observes those actions while occasionally assuming direct control.

Then at some point the neet fuck doesnt let go of the control and the original person feels like an out of body experience, or like a split brain situation where 1 half wants to do X but doesnt have control of the body movements and constantly feels distraught and agony.
