>/a/ somehow did not tell me that after the first film there were actually two other films and a second season.
Caught up yesterday just in time

It's all not as good as the first season though. Some random idol suddenly gaining social skills and not being dumb any more feels like a very inconsequential puberty syndrome to me.

Uzuki's arc was half about her half about the new status quo.
And its a serious thing for her because she didn't live an entire life reading the room, which is why all the weight of the band status was hard on her and not the other four.

To be honest, as per the ending, I feel I missed some really important stuff due to the fact that I can't read handwriting at all.
It didn't occur to me before that was written on the arms and on in the books was actually important when it showed up and I thought Sakuta was just just surprised by that random text appeared on someone's hands out of nowhere but what's actually on it and what's the significance? They were talking about coming from different worlds or something and I don't think that was mentioned before? What's going on? I thought Akagi was just trying to save people out of some kind of feeling of guilt with a power of precognition but it is something written on the arms or something that's important to this?

She has guilt, but no precognition, she just reads the twitter posts. Otherwise Sakuta couldn't fool her.

Well, it was made with a book in mind, but what matters is that its how both Akagis exchange info.

The Knapsack girl earlier on(when sakuta went to the mixer) and Ikumi's literal debut being on the parallel world of the movie should've already clued you in, but its outright spelled this episode.

Where? What scene did I miss?
I feel this is like the thing Sakuta realized at the end of the last episode but honestly when I watched it I had no idea what he exactly would be realizing and thought it would be explained at the start of this episode but I didn't notice anything.

Do you mean the line about the β€œin another possible world”? I guess I just interpreted that as a metaphorical expression.

I guess rewatching that scene when you know this does make it seem like it makes more sense but these lines are so cryptic.

>and thought it would be explained at the start of this episode but I didn't notice anything.
You watched episode 7 right? Sakuta outright explains to her the clues he used to figure everything out.

>She talked to Sakuta at the college entrance as if she were close which wasn't the case for the main world one.
>She was close to Saki despite not going to HS with her, which was the case in the parallel world one, which Sakuta met in the movie
>Finally, the Ikumi from the main world couldn't have remembered Sakuta saying the exact words he got from Shoko, because the main world Sakuta hadn't remembered Shoko at the time
Remember that the main world is now the final collapsed timeline at the end of the first movie, on which Sakuta only met Shoko at the final scene of the movie.

Yeah, to be honest I just rewatched the conversation and all made sense now to me even though I watched it before and remember it.
To be honest, this is kind of the issue I feel of watching fiction in a second language you're not fluent in. I feel the issue is that your brain is expending all power it has to untangle the grammar so you β€œunderstand what they're saying” but your brain isn't automatically wondering about the implications of anything because understanding it isn't an automatic process. I read a post about that a few weeks back of someone complaining about β€œI understand what they say, just not what they mean.”

I think I'm just going to watch the entire episode again when the Japanese subtitles are out to be honest. Maybe the knapsack film too. I feel I missed too much of the significance of the lines. This title relies too much on actually thinking about what the lines mean to take it so lightly I feel.

Yeah, I really notice the difference with Japanese subs to be honest. IT's a really big trap that you're like
>Wooow, I understand every line and every word so it's not like I'm missing anything
>Meanwhile, brain missed the significance of half the shit because it expended too much energy just understanding the lines and it didn't even notice how much it missed.

That's the weird thing. Re-watching that scene I'm like β€œHow could I have missed all that? These lines mean something obviously.” but the first time I watched it my brain was so occupied I guess with just untangling the meaning that it never bothered wondering about the significance and it's not even a conscious process at all. It's so weird how easy it is to not realize that you're not even wondering what the significance of all those lines is any more and then just forget about it even though you technically understand what they're saying.

So now we know that Akagi travelled across timelines because 1 akagi wanted to be the superhero that could compensate for the things she couldn't do with sakuta, while the other wanted to scape and just run with the wind. The class thing was kinda cringe, even with the scene trying to appeal to me (aka, loser who hates his classmates) I still found it hard to watch. Sakuta picked up that weight and carried it. He was imouto's hero. He compartmentalized his disappointment he couldn't help his mom the same way he helped imouto, but that regret was dealt with in the last movie.
But then he was informed him we're on a new worldline that was never observed. He moved on so hard he went through the Gate.
