11/10 episode. Dunno why /a/ hates this show.

The extended ED with reused scenes (and a still image) feels more like a decision to save 3 minutes' worth of animation and less like an artistic choice. Man, I wish the series had better production values. The animation as a whole feels cheap, and the direction is pretty uninspired as well. The fact that, in spite of that, it is still so enjoyable is a testament to how strong the source material is and how good a job the VA cast is doing.

Studios seem to be intentionally be doing this for shows with solid source material. Bisque Doll's current season would be an absolute snoozefest if not for the production quality, yet this and Grand Blue still manage to do well even even with significantly worse budget/time. At least WW managed to get a good 1st cour OP out of it, but quality was just a steep decline after.

Morihito trained himself to be in control at all times, everyone else at the house just allowed him to ease off and not be so guarded. As for the chapter, it ends up being underwhelming because the chapter doesn't say anything we don't know already, and is just another evidence that the loli nico arc amounted to nothing since what she felt as a child was subsumed by her memories as teen. It would have worked much better had shinohara actually showed episodes of nico's real childhood to compare and contrast with her magic induced one, or shown flashbacks of moi's dad struggling to raise him on his own, and moi feeling guilty for it - without any of the above, them angstng about missing a dad or a mom in their life aimply doesn't mean much.
