I might be wrong with my understanding of "manipulation" since I'm no psychologist. But my point is:
Kumugi used to have some grit.

She wanted to prove herself. but the accident crushed her.
>"That was the day I became who I am now."
And then Spica constantly controlled Kumugi for whatever reason.
>"I can't say no"
is born from guilt. At 7 years old, sure, maybe it's just kids being kids,
but Spica keep on abusing this guilt;
1) Spica still reminds Kumugi of the accident
>>281534519 which was years ago by now, she's definitely a shitty person to hold it against Kumugi after so long. If it's not manipulative I don't know what else.
2) last chapter she called Kumugi a "stepping stone." Now it's clear she just wanted to get rid of Kumugi in the anti-majik team at all, while still feeding Kumugi the idea that it is what she wants.

Again, at 7 years old, not manipulative, but here? I believe it is. (I'm using manipulative term very loosely here, since I'm no psychologist)
Kumugi is weak-willed, maybe, but Spica also bears some responsibility for that.
