I can't remember how genuine her accent is. Not from a translation viewpoint, but how much she's genuinely trying to be a Chinese character trope because of how much she wants to be easily perceived by others. Like how Zina loves personifying Russia.

For me it's more so, we see Yuzuhas usual fighting style and the new prisoner girl was just better at it, like beat the piss out of her with it, so how is the answer switching to a new style? Like that is not Yuzuhas best so the crazy killer chick should just copy it easier. If the excuse is like "she sped up" then that feels like even more bull because was getting fucking rushed last chapter

Because I don't believe in tribalistic nonsense like "the good guys and the bad guys" nor do I believe that one "side" winning matters. It's all about the ride.
What fucking stakes are you hoping for? It's women beating each other up for a nebulous prize and to try and find someone to defeat Hina and/or keep her entertained. The "good guys" winning all the time is the least of Omega's problems. Omega's greatest problems are that the fight structure and art is incredibly low-effort and the bare attempt at a plot is nonsensical garbage where threads will be plucked, pruned, and re-woven left and right for no good reason. Caring about constant subversion is how you end up with subversion just for the sake of subversion, which is just trite.

Copy memers only really work if:
a.) They themselves know and acknowledge that they really only do walmart versions of whatever they're copying
b.) They compensate by mixing and matching a bunch of the shit they copied to create a mash of things that actually compensate for the innate flaws and shortcomings of the thing they're copying on top of just using a chinese knockoff version of it.

They're supposed to embody the adage of: "Jack of all trades, master of none but still better than a master of one." instead of "LMAO I HAVE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE BUT BETTER"

Kawamichi was too talented, that's why she lost.
I'm unironically fine with this outcome even though I called a total Yuzu victory from the moment Kawamichi was introduced. Like I said last storytime, if it was ANY other writer than Sandro the loss flags wouldn't have been so clearcut for le cuhrahzee smug killer vs a seeker archetype. Still, for what little it's worth it's been a while since I've seen so much effort put into a Sandroslop story, even if underneath the solid execution it really is just "Yuzuha actually had to try, and then she just fucking won"

This was no meme super specific pressure point to knock you out shit. For all intents and purposes, this should've caved psycho bitch's nose in at the very least.

Now that I think about it, has a conventionally attractive woman in this manga actually showed her face get genuinely fucked up from the fights? All the "undignified" face battle damage we've seen from this manga seemed to only be inflicted on women that were already uggo fodder or absolute freaks.

For a guy whose moniker is about much shit he's copied, he's got a very defined core repertoire he falls back on. To be completely fair, having a few specialties you know really well for serious situations and then a fuckton of moves just to mess with people or cover edge cases isn't a bad way to operate.

No, you fuckers who are obsessed with the main characters losing regardless of context are only fueled by spite and subversion. Kawamichi would be a dogshit character for Yuzuha to lose to and would undermine her legitimacy as someone who has actually struggled and worked hard to be at the top of an organization. Did you really want some random serial killer who butchered old men for fun that copied martial arts she saw on TV to win out over the champion of a death match fighting organization or are you just trying to be a contrarian? >"I have everyone else's powers but better"
Kengan Asura avoided this in both cases. Chiba can use moves just as good as the original can, but it takes him hours to trace them so he couldn't pull off a mid-match copy. And he's limited by his own physique instead of the story avoiding that issue. So there are a lot of moves he just can't use like the Devil's lance or the Advance. Chiba was also an amateur fighter so at the end of the day his ability to make decisions based on the moves he knew was weaker than a trained fighter in just one style.

Same shit happened in this style. The copycat is so green when it comes to actual fighting that they lose out to experience. If Omega were better written then Chiba would have become a much scarier opponent for both Takeru and Gaoh even if he still loses because he's had years to learn more. Instead he's just fodder.

Agito is technically a copycat character as well. He's just written as having been fighting for so long and having the talent that he could do what Chiba can't do. Win on the merit of knowing a bajillion moves. His issue in the story was having to fight against specialists like Kaolang and Gensai who had perfected their one styles to the point that Formless Agito just couldn't decide fast enough. Hence why he had to develop his other style.

There are plenty of ways to make a copycat character work. Copyiing just needs interesting limitations by default.

She fucking sucks as an actual fighter because she's just a monkey copying shit she's seen on TV. She has the physical ability, but she has no know-how or experience. That'd be fucking garbage for her to one-sidedly stomp someone who fought in a fucking death match organization as its champion.

>Wanting Yuzuha to get no-diffed by someone who kills old wealthy men using Kung-fu moves she copied off from some movies she watched with one of her victims

No. Kawamichi is a gag character, despite Sandro's insisting on us taking her as a serious threat to Yuzuha in the beginning she is a gag character. You want Yuzuha to suddenly become incompetent and lose to a character who's backstory sounds like a morbid gag
At least Chiba practiced the moves he copied, Kawamichi just kills old guys. That backstory alone is a jobber flag
Anonymous No.281573482
>>281572352
The thing about copycats is that, if they're just coasting on copying people, they're never satisfying to have win.
Chiba lost because he was inexperienced and had an amateurish sense of actually stringing together his moves. He put on a show and wanted to get people scared of what he could be, so he was also playing a mindgame beyond just being a copycat. He didn't wholeheartedly believe that just copying people was enough, at least not until he'd learned more and gotten a feel for the upcoming opponents.
Agito is sort of a copy character, but it's more that he has an insane knowledge base and a lot of practical experience. He stubbornly chose to fight Gaolang on his own foot, got punished for it, and adapted by pulling out something else. He openly admitted that he couldn't beat Gaolang in boxing and that copying wasn't the way to go.
Kawamichi was just kind of a pretender who was "a natural," but she really didn't seem all that special beyond the absolute nonsense of being able to pull off a couple moves more perfectly than Yuzuha could.

This always reminds me of the end of the Baki Musashi arc where it basically hammers in the idea that killing and a person's body count basically means nothing in a fight, because every time a fighter knocks someone out that could be a kill because the other person is completely defenseless. It's not that fighters can't kill, it's they don't kill, but that doesn't mean that fighters are incapable of it.
