Idk, this really feels like the end for Kill Blue. We skipped past the friend fights to get to this battle against the dad, and there's pretty much no where else to go with the story itself.

I'm gonna give Ekiden's author some credit, it seems like he's actually listening to the feedback and trying to improve his art. Last week was already an improvement and this week was even better than that, it's a lot less...horrifying to look at. Character's eyes and mouths look a lot better in general.

I think they tied up most of the loose ends:
Shin's assassin organization, Jardin's involvement, Noren not having her memories, Her being involved in the development of the venom, the cherry thing. The only thing that makes no sense is how Noren tried to kill him when she got unconscious during the surfing namek and her assassin-like skills since I get an impression she was supposed to be a scientist not an assassin, but maybe since "daddy" is a former hit-man others in not-umbrella might be involved in the business as well.
The only angle I can see this take to prolong this is if Noren has some backstory before joining not-umbrella, but that's unlikely.

Something you have to remember is that the less hits that are being produced nowadays, the less editors there are that have helped produce said hits to go on to create new ones. A lot of editors just float around between existers and axed series, there are fewer and fewer that actually have the experience with and knowledge of how to create a hit.

I don't know how accurate it is, but the Jump wiki seems to think Seisuke Araki is handling KDG, while Kaito Anayama is handling Ekiden. Murakoshi is in fact doing Harukaze, and PPP is the only one that's unconfirmed.

The author should have gone full adventure manga and relied on the intrigue of not-China's lore and mythos, but instead they tried (perhaps at the insistence of Jump higher-ups) to capture the battle shonen audience. Even though they can't draw battles for shit and really can't make interesting villains either.
There just isn't any room for mediocrity when you're trying to lure back in fans of two heavyweight series (JJK and MHA). Zoomers / Alpha-ers don't have patience.
