She was looking out the doorway when they were presented, she also saw the lava rock. I think it's becoming clear how Jodio and Howler are being set up.

Jodio: came from 0 and will rise to 100.
Howler: came from 100 and will sink to 0.

By the final confrontation, their roles will be reversed. Whilst at the beginning of the story Jodio was attempting to take Howler's riches, the final battle will be Howler attempting to take Jodio's riches. The lava rock being lost and then found again is an allusion to this. Additionally, the reference to lightning this chapter. What precedes lightning? (November) Rain.

The role reversal being set up has the potential to be one of the greatest protagonist-antagonist dynamics in JoJo.

I like Howler too, but he needs to lose all of his money. That's the only way he walks away with character growth. He didn't earn it, doesn't deserve it, he needs to let go of it. It's like the gold in the vault of the Sierra Madre.
"Fate" will never work out for him if he's a greedy cunt who only cares about holding onto money he didn't even make. We've been over similar stuff with Sugar Mountain, for example.
There's no way Araki pens his story working out for him when his whole motive is being a hedonist who doesn't want to lose his money.
