Why is modern anime so much more inferior than old anime? You can tell the difference when comparing Brotherhood with the original FMA, it just lacks the intrigue and atmosphere of the first series, often preferring to pad out its time with "hilarious" faces and whatnot. It's only one example out of many though. Shows like Demon Slayer and Fairy Tail just aren't very good, and neither are JJK or MHA, especially in comparison to Monster or Lain
