A bullet travels way faster than the human eye and even cameras can catch. You do get lucky with things like tracers and long range shots looking down scopes. You can't even use the sound to prepare a dodge because the bullet can travel so fast that by the time you hear the bang the bullet already hit you. Even pro soldiers get hit from long range gun fire that they can hear.

There is a reason why PDWs are designed to basically just put as many projectiles downrange as quickly possible. Because CQB is a shitshow and the only real way to engage in it is to not actually do it.

It's pretty simple, actually. Look at action movies like John Wick. They're unrealistic, but they're believable. The reason for that is that they have good choreography. If I could just magically make it happen with no drawbacks I would reduce the amount of jobbers by half but make them 3x as tenacious each. There's several variables, but at a range you're not going to want to try to trust dodging shit. Perspective down the length of the barrel, the twitches of one's hands/wrists/forearms, recoil per shot and a lack of preparation between each shot (especially if someone's going full auto), recoil control, etc. You want to know where gun/bullet dodging is "viable"? Entirely in close-quarters where you can literally just be entirely out of the path of the weapon without any bullshit attached, and that point it really depends on the weapon since a handgun is still a nightmare for easy angling and much easier targeting that close up, while a larger weapon might get pushed aside or not have a good opportunity to round in on the target.

Long story short, bullet dodging is bullshit unless you're some crazy motherfucker sighting down several hundred meters and impossibly manage to sight them incoming in a way that you can move out of the way in a split second, or you're straight up lucky. And that's simply not viable for most humans on earth. Any bullet dodging in fiction will generally go "predict the path of the guns" but only something like Equilibrium gets away with it on literal rule of cool and CQC engagements.

I think this anime would have been much better if she had an extreme talent for dodging bullets, but it wasn't 100% of the time.
All they had to do is have a scene back at the Lycoris training center where they show or say something like, she dodges on average 98% of shots or something.
It's still not 'realistic' at all. But would make the show much better for various reasons, including actually adding some sort of suspense to action sequences.
