She wouldn't need to do it hundreds of times "herself". All the clones could do it, while the original only did it once or twice. You see, when she says "I", "me", etc, that's not indication that this Fumiko that's talking is talking about her literal self there. It's like a hive mind thing, since she did just say that they share information with each other (probably through mental link, not normal way such as phone calls). We've seen another one die, by the way. One that already was an adult like her (meaning, the clones are born as adults somehow, or the baby grows up super duper fast after coming out the womb, since the time wouldn't match up for them being the same age otherwise). There's not any way to know who's the original. Finally, I just wanna say: I think this reveal was cool and fun. Fujimoto cooked at least once. I was expecting her survival to go unexplained, so this is a pleasant surprise.
