What boggles my mind is that while Kenpachi vs Nnoitra wasn't the best animated, I can still remember it tenfold than all the fights in tybw despite all the upgraded pretty colors.

You remember that fight because it lasted for two episodes. They literally been cutting the fat out of the anime. Less fluff and filler. The one thing die hard /a/utists hate.

I'm not disagreeing on the flow if said episodes, but the entirety of every major encounter thus far in TYBW were condensed into half an episode. This includes the flashbacks of inner monologue.
Cour 4 was postponed. What does that mean? >cause or arrange for (something) to take place at a time later than that first scheduled.
Cour 3 only took longer because of pierrot restructuring as a whole.
Something clearly happened with one of the animators getting fired for PR reasons.
Cour 3 definitely did some damage bts. And it has nothing to do with original content, the quincy daten scene to fill up runtime and the lies of the 1 hour special is proof of that.

Anytime a delay occurs in a film production with lots of money behind it thatβs a sign of either production issues, changes due to backlash, or worse, the producers see it as a money sink fyi a potential failure.

Most fights in tybw are esoteric hax battles / taking turns yapping instead of good ol sakuga sword fight we all loved. Also I think they did a mediocre job directing Ichibei vs Yhwach, it was so much more memorable and impactful in the manga. A bit sad the most memorable fight was Unohana vs Kenpachi which was an insolated conflict and didn't even involve the new enemy group at all
>get to episode 226 >episode ends with top 3 espadas about to unleash their power while Ichigo is fighting Ulqwhateverthefuck >after credit-scene >"We are not entering another filler arc!"
How did people watch is weekly back then?
