It's kind of an interesting premise because the MC can't actually use a weapon, so it (by necessity) draws on the side characters. IMO it did the "hero cast out by his party" shtick better than all the rest, you really find yourself hating the royalty, the Bitch, the Trash, his fellow retarded hero party members. It's kinda satisfying to see them all come around again, especially Motoyasu becoming a shameless Filo worshipper.
There's something to be said about a MC that, after getting fucked over, spends the rest of the series absolutely seething about it and never trusting anyone again. Very kino
