It's obvious to everyone that despite butting heads all the time Ken needed his editors. Neither side was completely correct, it was the balance between the two that made Negima great. It's George Lucas syndrome.

overall it's just straight up less interesting than Negima even when it becomes not-Negima. Pretty much the whole time you wish you were just reading the original. That said Negima had fucked itself anyway in the later half of magic namek

Typical sequel series but the author decides the new characters need to shit on the original characters who all had a bad ending.

Why the fuck JP authors keep doing this is beyond me.

Ultimately the UQ holder stuff ironically was more interesting than the Negima sequel but half the series was Negima stuff which if you liked that half you would have preferred an actual Negima sequel featuring the characters so the UQ holder stuff never really got to grow or be developed beyond
