I like Tasha, she's an airhead and has low self esteem but has some strength in her. For example she doesn't break over her constant mistakes and chidings and is very ready to defend her friend who's character she knows and trusts. Alma is a good girl too but is out of my league and can be a bit too high-strung, and she obviously likes a certain degree of refinement; by comparison Tasha is just a good country girl.
Adele is too broody and to muh rules/authority, her dedication is admirable but we couldn't be friendly. Maria is not wife material, is very self absorbed and can be extremely smug and snarky, and we'd have nothing in common. Polly is a bit of a brat.
Elanor's maid, Annie, is a cutie and seems nice but we don't see that much of her character beyond her dedication to, and fondness for, Elanor.
