The Bugle Call is a well executed manga with a well-rounded approach to storytelling (it doesnt have many weak points, in my opinion), but the main focus is definitely on the characters. It's very character driven and it slowly builds up a cast of important side characters, so if you're a characterfag you'll really love it. At the same time, the art is great and whenever there's a climatic fight it really pays off. It's also got really long chapters (they are like 60 pages) so it's very fulfilling to read as chapters have both downtime and action.
The plot is pretty bold which can alienate some fantasy readers but I personally love it, and characters including the MC keep evolving through the manga instead of having a character arc and then remaining static as focus goes off them which is a problem I have with for example Berserk. I really recommend it, my favorite of that list.
