A reminder:
Suzuki Mineo was sentenced to two years in prison and fined 11 million yen in November 2004, but remained free and in office as he appealed. In 2010 the Supreme Court of Japan voted unanimously to uphold his sentence and conviction, removing him from office and starting his prison sentence. He was also banned from running for public office for five years.

security, basically. Supposedly to protect the prosecutor from the dangerous criminal he's interviewing but probably mostly for intimidation.
I don't know what the official job title would be, maybe bailiff? Or maybe a bailiff isn't involved until it actually goes to trial and he's just an employee of the prosecutors office or something. Japan probably works differently from western courts anyway.

It doesn't really matter if they're great or not, it's a matter of of Rightful Clay and all that jazz. If they're good, in which case Japan wants them so Russia needs to give them; or they're bad, in which case Russia really has no reason to hang onto them and may as well give them to japan.

3. Disturbingly homosexual Russian cultural practices
