In slice of life and iyashikei, moe isn’t just a random affection, it’s dialed up to eleven. Every little gesture, every tiny quirk, every mundane moment is designed to make you feel protective, tender, addicted to them.
It’s completely dishonest not to acknowledge the intentionality and to pretend that the moe shit in iyashigay is the same kind of feeling you get from things like mecha or other thing.
