It was my introduction to Oh Great. I never actually ended up reading Air Gear. But I remember saving a ton of pages from manga chapters I found on websites back in the late 2000s because of how amazing his art was. I did the same for Tenjou Tenge. And for Monogatari. His rendition of adult Kiss-shot (pic related) is absolutely incredible.

Oh Greats best quality is his art, in fact just off that alone (and the success of his manga), he’s an all time mangaka.
But he’s also part of that camp of mangaka (like the Gantz author, Jagaaan author, etc) who just throw whatever shit they want into their story and somehow get it to work. You won’t get any writing masterpiece compared to literature from him, but you’ll get an extremely entertaining classic.
Granted, I remember a lot more anger towards how TT and AG finished in the past, and I’m not favorable to them either, but I’m sure his reputation will age greatly.

I actually started drawing and taking art classes because of Oh!Great art. You can say whatever you want about Air Gear but the art is top tier, still have every single volume downloaded to draw from too.

I most remember the part when they're watching a match between two other teams and he has to shit so he just drops his pants and shits right there in the middle of the crowd. The difference between now and older Oh Great is that he spent a long time working on an adaption of a highly acclaimed media (Monogatari). Oh Great is a relatively unique writer with his own quirks that make even his moments of bad or mediocre writing become charming and fun. But I think working on Monogatari naturally helped him improve as a writer.

oh great is one of the best artist in the industry, he has an exquisite taste in art allegory and visual metaphors, he is better in every single way than murata and other contemporany mangakas, bakemonogatari is my favorite run from him because Nisio's work and his make a perfect synergy

This. Oh!Great is the king of shonen, it's like he has the talent of an adult with the mind of a teen. His manga are absolutely amazing if you're lucky enough to read them in your teens: over-the-top action, crazy plot with revelations and twists, ultra stylish characters and lots of fanservice. I fucking love how much fun you can see he's having drawing: need a car? It's some tricked-out classic that would be worth a fortune. He has to draw a gun? Of course it's a Luger or a Desert Eagle. This guy operates on every hot-headed teenage's mindset.
