That could be said for media in any language, again, I'm not saying there's zero point in learning Japanese, if a wider pool of media options drives you enough to go through the arduous and lengthy process of learning a language, more power to you, I even find it worthy of admiration. Latin is on a weird spot because I'd argue it's useful in more areas (Reading religious scriptures, studying Roman history, choir singing), but those areas are far more niche than watching anime, reading manga and playing vidya
