land of waves is one of the best written battle shonen arcs ever made, too bad nothing else in naruto comes close.

This is a cold take for anyone with a brain.
Kishimoto paneling is horrendous and his drawings are inconsistent to say the least.
Even if Naruto had good writing (it doesn't) it would still be bad to read.

Personally I think the story is fine especially compared to MHA and JJK.
Even taking into account other magazines KNY was the only above average story which explains why it got so popular despite not vibng with me.

I don’t agree, the anime pacing is way too slow so many great moments are ruined by flashbacks (Team 7 reunion in Kage Summit arc) or bad animation (Naruto vs Pain climax). Manga artwork is way underestimated Kishimoto was extremely consistent with great 2 page spreads. Anime definitely had moments of greatness though
