I like the war arc, but I don't like anything related to Kaguya. The moment Naruto and Sasuke died and were reborn, the moment Madara was killed, the whole fight with Kaguye. It's bad. But Naruto-Sasuke's battle and dialogue after returning to Konoha, how Naruto became Hokage, Boruto's birth is good, I like it.

so im watching naruto, currently at shippuden, kakashi anbu arc
question, how far ahead kishimoto wrote naruto?? dont know about the manga, but there is this thing with itachi and kisame introduction in kid naruto. were they actually as strong as they were in shippuden?? of course, 3 years happened, if our heroes can become stronger then nothing stops them to become stronger aswell. but was kishimoto consistent? could jiraiya truly have beaten itachi and kisame as he said he could?

in dbz, it is said so many times db should have ended with frieza. it is very logical plotwise, everything was leading to this. then it is said it was ending in cell saga, with goku death and gohan as new hero. it's logical, even if androids saga introduced bulshit, such as timelines, earthlings capable of surpassing the evil tirany of the great and powerful, feared frieza's family, and fucking up the ssj myth <<--- all this being obviously not planned

Just watched episode 479 today. Gonna skip the rest since it looks like filler slop. Took me a good part of two years to finish this.

Don't have any strong feelings for the ending since I already knew the whole plot. Can't complain about the kaguya plot twist either. To others Naruto may have lost the plot here. But to me it lost it at the very beginning of shippuden. Honestly if not for nostalgia for OG Naruto I would've dropped it long ago.

I didn’t think the final fight lived up to all the years of anticipation in the manga, but the actual resolution of Naruto and Sasuke’s journey was good. I didn’t care for who ends up with who in the final chapter or their kids and I will never accept the cope of how seeing Naruto become Hokage wasn’t important because of the Pain arc despite him still constantly saying he’ll be Hokage after he got his acknowledgment.

It's weird how the final chapter of Naruto hasn't been properly adapted. It's like parts of it are just scattered across the entirety of the Boruto anime.

Not the ending exactly, but towards the end when Black Zetsu and Kaguya's master plan was explained it became painfully clear that Indra, Madara and Sasuke should have been female.

The reason why ninja history even happens is because Black Zetsu was manipulating events to make the reincarnation of Indra and Asura combine their chakra's and create the rinnegan eyes to revive Kaguya... what does combining their chakra mean practically? It's not explained, Madara does it by secretly biting off a piece of Hashirama, transplanting it on himself and cultivating it for decades to somehow eventually get the rinnegan. Black Zetsu probably didn't even know this was possible so what the fuck was his actual plan?

It would make so much more sense if Indra was female and her incarnations and Asura's incarnations needed to make a kid to create a rinnegan. Fated enemies (also siblings) needing to become one to create the ultimate power, and it would make sense why it took so long for Black Zetsu to accomplish it.

It even fits the current story perfectly, Hashirama fucks Madara at some point before their final fight, and after surviving, Madara secretly gives birth to Nagato who gets the rinnegan. Madara putting his adult sized eyes into baby Nagato without anyone noticing is way more contrived than him just being fem-Madara's child.

It doesn't even make sense, at the beginning Sasuke's ultimate goal wasn't to kill Itachi, it was to rebuild the Uchiha clan, but before that he needed to have revenge for the clan. Surely even a 12 year old Sasuke understood what he was saying? Rebuilding a clan from a single person means having a lot of of kids, probably with a lot of different women. Bro said his life goal is to spread his seed as much as he can and then just settled for reluctantly having one kid with some dysgenic commoner who happened to like him. The Uchiha clan got killed twice.

That's what bugs me about it. Unless I'm mistaken, it's not even mentioned in part 1 which makes the symbol feel so weird during VoTE and forced by the time it does get mentioned.
All Kishi would of had to do was have Kakashi offer the finger shake after whooping his own team from the bell test. That fits his character. Or if Kishi hadn't thought of it by then, then have Naruto or Sai do it after they get into their feud. Or at least mention it to Sasuke after the rooftop incident. When was the concept introduced anyway?

The powercreep in Boruto is way better than DB to DBZ, for example. In that continuity there's not reason a regular human on Earth couldn't just have trained harder and become as strong as Cell at any point in human history and be capable of blowing up the planet with a single attack, they just didn't before Goku and his goons did. As soon as Saiyans appeared humans started getting literally a thousand times stronger than ever before just by locking in a little.

It should have had a proper multi-chapter epilogue with no time pressure instead of a series of panels showing every character we've ever seen with their randomly selected partner and boringly designed child they've had with nothing else. The epilogue really needed to develop Naruto and Hinata's relationship. The movie doesn't count.

I don't mind Kaguya as much as a lot of people. Madara being the big bad for Naruto and Sasuke felt a little off to begin with since Madara's fated rivalry and conflict was with the old world of ninjas and the older generation like Hashirama. He really was just a traumatized old doomer instead of having any kind of higher morality, 70 years of the ninja village system was enough for him to say that it won't work and instead he has to enslave everyone in a fake dream world. If he wasn't being deceived by anyone for any sort of bigger plan, he was retarded and not that good of a final villain to be honest, his plan was very simplistic and doesn't fit the ninja theme of everything being a trick and ruse within another trick. It really is crazy how much influence the Matrix has had on media.

There's still alternatives to Kaguya, like even just the ten tails being something other than a giant dumb monster (like they've now done in Boruto), but I think Kaguya ended up being ok as an idea. The execution wasn't the best, she should have been foreshadowed and introduced way earlier, but other than that I think Madara had plenty of screen time and did not need another even stronger form that would have been the final final fight for the gang.

Think back to when Sasuke first fought Itachi in the original Naruto, Kashimoto had a very clear philosophy when it came to battles, they’re not simply flashy for the sake of action, all battles in OG Naruto reveal something about the two characters and also develop them further. After Sasuke got manhandled by Itachi, it changed him, he became colder, more distant, and that battle, that reality check, iymade him seek out Orochimaru for power, so each battle, each conflict, it develops the story further, you can’t understand the story of Naruto without reading the battles.

Now look at Boruto, you could slap fucking Garfield between the battles and the story would be unaffected. So why, why did the people who figured out how to make good shonen decide to make the most derivative, boring dogshit they could think of? Money.

Haven't reread it since it came out but it's great, yeah.
Only issue is the focus on Boruto in the last chapter. Hate his name, hate his personality, and his character design.
But I like that Naruto has children he can care for, and got together with Hinata. Love that it ends on him actually achieving his dream of becoming Hokage.

It set up a bunch of alien stuff that it didn't elaborate on, raising more questions than answers. After all, the status quo is maintained in the end, there are still gonna be ninjas fighting each other, and now you also have to worry about a possible alien invasion, meaning the ending doesn't feel like an ending unless you jut care about Naruto's personal goal of being a hokage. Without Boruto there's no closure, but we don't even know if Boruto's gonna give it closure.

Guy actually just blitzing Madara would have been a peak moment of the whole shounen manga medium. It would have been up there with Goku going super saiyan for the first time against Frieza. This was good. I really appreciate that Kishimoto didnt just and it to Naruto after the war and made it explicit that Naruto was forced to sit down and study, as his skill and renown still were not enough to cover the paperwork end of the job being that Naruto was a bit of a dunce.

Kino. Pinterest forever fuming. The best thing Kishi ever did in the story was Hinata, the only mistake was him being too prudent to develop their relationship more but in all honestly for a shounen he did manage to add quite a few genuine moments between the two throughout the series.

I am fine with this, more than most. It was actually hinted at quite a bit throughout the series. I dont like how Boruto has continued the plot but it had potential.

It was okay. I disliked the edo tensei part. Yeah it led to some fanservice moments that I liked, but I also think it cheapened some of the earlier characters and a bit of rehashing.
I think it would have been improved by only allowing characters we didnt know when they were alive. Less Deidara and Zabuza, focus more on the former 7 Swordsmen of the mist, etc.

The prophecy reincarnation shit was gay as fuck and nearly ruined the ending. You could have just as easily stuck with the theme of the cycle of revenge that Pain was all about and maintained 99% of the same plot elements, and just had Huguromo help the two because he didnt want Kaguya reviving and knew Naruto had the Biju on his side and Sauce was an Uchiha that could use the Rinnegan. Simple as that.
Their ending battle was great. If not slightly ruined in the anime by the animators copying their fight and doing it for Obito and Kakashi first.

Kishimoto had the general outline of the series plot down fairly early on.
Orochimaru refers to the akatsuki and their plan to take the 9 tails from Naruto back in the forest of death, as an example you will have already been exposed to.
Orochimaru and every scene he is in increasingly reveals Kishimotos plans for the story, even if it is not obvious at first or even second glance.

Kishimoto never spelled it out so some people choose to not believe it, but Orochimaru clearly knew about Kaguya and was planning for the Ayes, to some degree.
