Kagurabachi fans are a different kind of greedy lol, its a flagship jump series, and it still gets constant color pages. But clearly the weekly serialization is taking its toll already, as it did for JJK and MHA towards the back end of their runs. (And so he's been dialing back the color work he does, to lighten the load). Like even bringing up JJK, Gege went almost a year without a color page around the peak of that series' popularity (181-215, 2022-2023), and that still didn't mean it wasn't considered one of Jump's flagship series during that period.
The kagurabachi cover and giant 2 year anniversary promo is inevitable, everyone is just getting themselves worked up for nothing.
