Has anyone seen Gungrave? If so, what did you think of it? I feel like this anime is practically unknown and underrated.

Thought it was great. The "rise and fall" story itself might not be unheard of in fiction, but it was executed with some finesse, and Harry's betrayal felt as heinous as it was intended to be. My only issue with it was Brandon being absolutely fine with Big Daddy cucking him.

I remember watching the first episode and then waiting the rest of the series for the cool cowboy hat man from the video game to come back.

One of the best anime from the best era of anime.

i think no one really know or remember this anime so idk how would this be underrated. like its really good series (for me) but doesnt got any fandom or smth. or maybe had idk one anon said it was popular back then here.

I enjoyed all but the last episode where Gungrave and Harry Mcdoodle (I think that was his name) just sit in a diner crying about what a crazy ride its been instead of killing each other like they're supposed to.

You're supposed to know. The whole crime family drama is written with the dramatic irony incorporated into it, that Brandon's death and undeath have already happened.
