There’s so much parts to this arc, it’s hard to tell if it’ll end in 50 or 120 chapters. People always say “Togashi can put a lot of stuff in one chapter”, but Hisoka vs the troupe hasn’t even started. You’re telling me Chrollo, Hisoka, Tserriendich, Morena, Kurapika and all their dynamics can get a satisfying concision in 50 chapters?

More than anything he made the story needlessly complicated through jumps back and forth, obscuring happenings here and there and having these vignettes of character we barely know do stuff over and over.

He's really stretching some of these standards or methods of manga storytelling. Kind of hard to explain, but he often did these things previously, but on a smaller scale and less frequently.

I'm struggling to predict how he can pull it off.

Togashi will pull it off because he’s not a regularly schedule mangaka. Togashi basically writes current Hunter like a book. He’s has a decade to theorize, plot, outline everything he wbats.
Meanwhile the average mangaka has to deliver on a weekly to monthly schedule without fucking up.
I have a hard time seeing Togashi dropping the ball, I just don’t think we’ll ever reach the end of the arc.

Togashi is definitely making sure everything right and planning ahead. I mean, do you really think , after a decade of the DC, he doesn’t have a rough idea of the whole arc? Like, I’m sure certain details may be changed as he reaches certain points , but I’m sure he has a good idea of everything.
