Fuck man, that's horrid. Hoping it's getting easier for you. I felt like I had moved on, to the point I just would say it sucks because she was a genuinely good and interesting person but that should be the end of it, right?
But some of these dreams stick with me bad. Had one of her when we were still talking where I saw her and wanted to go and talk like we usually do, but saw her surrounded by a bunch of laughing happy people and felt like it was better that I didn't go and ruin things for her. Then after we stopped talking ended up with dream where I told her I wasn't worthy to be her friend, she gave me a hug telling me I was. I wanted it to be real so bad I woke up and immediately checked my phone for a message. Thankfully a long time ago, but damn.

She stopped talking with me for about 2 years before this happened. It was shortly after my car broke down and I was stuck taking the city bus. Had a rough day at work and was saying, "There's no way this day could get worse." Cue seeing her at the main hub taking the same bus I was. The way she dresses makes it hard to mistake her. Shocking to both of us, and had it been a year or so prior I would have been happy to see her, but the last thing I wanted to have was her seeing me at my lowest to the point I was fearful about it. But it was kind of like how we met in reverse, so at least it was poetic in a fucked up way.

Damn, that can't be easy anon. Saw the parents of my middle school sweetheart once about 2 years or so after the breakup, though I got lucky because I didn't see her with them, so I can only imagine how bad that was for you. I'm sorry.
