Why? It's not a science where there are objective facts that debunk my opinion. Queer theory is just some clique's opinion on what being queer is about. I neither care to oppose nor support it, and it shouldn't be held up as anything special. It's not a rigorous science. It's basically philosophy.

But the answer is that things about the real world are confusing you and learning about them would solve that.
This idea that "masculinity" is always heterosexual, for instance, and that "homosexuality" implies femininity, is simply going to lead you to more contradictions and confusions. A clear example is all those men who think masculinity is "not doing what women do" and therefore keep limiting their own choices in fashion, education, and even food.
