So, unless I'm mistaken, in a few days, we will finally get an update after Hikari and Yami fight. How do you think Maruto and Yom will navigate the fallout?

I personally think Hikari and Yami will stop being friends. Hard to be friends when your supposed "best friend", tells you to be a complete and utter whore to get your man, after she kissed him knowing you were going to confess to him.

I also think Hikari will be more cynical towards everyone for the stab in the back she suffered. Whereas Yami will continue her self-destructive behavior.

I have no idea what Yuu would do in this situation. I think he might be honest with Hikari about his relationship, or former relationship, with Yami, or maybe he will seek out Yami, now knowing where she is, he's the wild card.

What about you /a/, what do you think will happen?

Hikari is the main girl so obviously she will never let go of Yuu. HOWEVER, because she is the main girl she will probably create some distance between Yuu and herself in order to fix her friendship with Yami (in reality just to extend the plot). Then it will be a period of time during which Yami will try and take Yuu while both Yuu and Hikari pine for one another.

I still think Hikari should have just accepted Yuu confession and just kiss him. Would have avoided this plot and Hikari would have just isolated Yami in a later date. Why reject Yuu and confront Yami about her love for Yuu? All it does is turn this into a love triangle, something Hikari could have nipped in the bud, had she simply accepted Yuu’s kiss. Now there’s a chance Yami will steal Yuu away from her.

Doesn't matter, like I said. She saw the kiss happen, she saw him not put up much of a fight, and he came and confessed to her almost immediately afterward with no cracks showing. The doubt is there enough to put her off on accepting in the moment. Not totally, obviously, she still likes him, just enough for her to have doubts. You have to remember she's inexperienced when it comes to this stuff, at her current mentality, Yuu is going to need to tell her outright that he's not interested in Yami anymore and actually prove his loyalty.

Hikari is the main girl, so she has to be the most attractive. That's JP romance genre law. It's different in harems, though, where the main girl is the 2nd most attractive (1st most attractive has to provide dramatic tension in the final arc). This manga is clearly a standard mono-romance pretending to be a love-triangle. Moral law makes actual love-triangles impossible in JP media. Yuu, having confessed, can never ever take that confession back, can never ever fall out of love or make a moral mistake. That's the law. In shounen romances the MC is typically devoted to the main girl by the first chapter. That is the case here. What there was a flashback sequence to from before the start of the manga during which time Yuu hasn't established his feelings towards Hikari. If the Yami-Yuu scene had been the start of the manga then Yami would be the main girl -- but that is not what happened. Just to make it clear to the reader Yuu went straight to Hikari after being kissed, it's clear as day. All that's left now if for the regular arsenal of JP romance tropes to keep the main couple from becoming official and ending the story.

You're taking what an extremely mentally-ill girl says at face value, she's not the arbiter of what's actually going on in Hikari's mind. It's likely to be a case of "absence makes the heart grow fonder", I highly doubt it's due to Yuu being a latent chad. That aside, how exactly does that affect her being an "innocent girl"? She's not innocent because she can notice (at the very least subconsciously) when an impotent presence in her life seemingly grows some agency? She's an older teenager with a working sex drive, "innocent" just means she's not experienced with sexuality or relationships.

Let be honest here, she did ruin him, at least for his supposed true love.

Since this was established at the start of the manga, the only way the plot can proceed with pretending there is a love triangle is to set events PRIOR to the start of the manga.
