I like it, and it is good, but it's got some glaring flaws like the pacing and trying to jam way too much into 13 episodes, even at 30 minutes per episode this first season needed 30 minute episodes AND 2 cours to cover the entirety of volume 1.
As someone who likes it, calling it AOTS would be more of an indictment towards everything else airing this season than it is a sign of a quality adaptation.

For the most part, no ATS is *stronger* than another except for the pillars due to their authorities being the pillars of the universe. They all just counter each other. Before you ask, yes some authorities overlap. Like how Lord of Mysteries is the Beacon of Fate, but there's an Above-the-sequence of a sole Fate pathway - Key of Light covers more aspects of Fate than what LoM does.

Yes, that's how artifacts can be created. If not, when a beyonder dies he leaves the characteristic of the sequence he was at the moment of death which can be used to create potions or artifacts. The characteristics basically look like a glowy object that forms from the body of a beyonder.
Sequence 5 seer beyonder dies, you get a sequence 5 seer beyonder characteristic that can be used in the sequence 5 potion instead of other ingredients.
Basically if you can kill beyonders you can get ingredients of that specific sequence or you can create powerful artifacts.

I watched the Immortal Ascension recently and it's the exact same thing. It's all about the MC bullshitting his way into thesaurizing as many spiritual artefacts as possible until they get used. In heist movies the appeal is about how the key items are used (because usually there's a twist or the plan goes off the hinges necessitating an adaptation of sorts).
